Overview
About Me
Moved to San Francisco Bay area silicon valley in 2018 from Turkey through a cultural exchange program. I met my husband through our shared love of chess in silicon valley ♟️. I’ve been actively traveling sometimes with my husband, sometimes on my own.
People often ask why I don’t always travel with him. The truth is, his schedule doesn’t allow much free time, and he’s very supportive of me being adventurous, exploring the world, and traveling solo while I can. I feel very lucky for that.
As a female solo traveler, I’ve had a few uncomfortable experiences with Couchsurfing in the past, so I prefer to stay with women or couples.
I’m a solo backpacker at heart, passionate about exploring new places and connecting with people from around the world. I love hosting as well. I’ve opened my home to travelers from many countries, and those experiences have been some of the most meaningful parts of my journey.
I did Workaway in Denmark and Turkey worked in the farm so you can find more reviews about me there.
I live in San Jose area with my husband and sometimes dogs. 1 hour by train to SF and 40 minutes driving distance so if you are requesting to stay with me consider what to do around here. Train station 20 minutes walking distance from my place can take you San Francisco and other places. I have little train 5 minutes walking distance from me that connects to train to SAn francisco.
🍵🌎🇺🇸Important: I can host for a maximum of 4 nights. My husband and I both work from home, so we need a quiet and clean space to stay focused. I also host dogs, so space is limited.
Please send requests for up to 4 nights only.
If you are in an urgent situation and truly have no funds, I may be able to host up to 7 nights, but longer stays can be difficult since my apartment complex may not be comfortable with extended guests. Some guests request stays of 20 days and over, which is a very long time. There are also limited things to do nearby, and hosting someone for that long in a small space is challenging especially since my husband and I both work from home.
Thank you so much for your understanding and for reading.
