This is a great way to meet new people, see places that are less touristic, from a locals view, and have someone to hang out with :) To talk to the people, to understand the culture, to learn and to exchange cultures.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I witnessed a 15 year old girl give birth to a 7 months old baby on a stinky cargo ship on the Amazon river. It was the most amazing thing I have ever seen.
