Hey there! I’m Janika, 25 years old and from Germany. I’m a funny and open-minded person who loves meeting new people from different cultures. I also love doing sports like running, playing beach volleyball or wakeboarding. I studied communication science and I will start my masters in a few weeks in international communication in Groningen.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think Couchsurfing is a great opportunity to meet people from all over the world. You really get to know the culture while living with natives. As my host family in Australia was so guest friendly, I decided to give something back and give a safe space to live to other people.

I love reading books and listening to music! I mainly read thriller or fantasy books, however I really need to start reading more again! I listen to nearly every kind of Musik expect of punk or heavy metal. I love going in festivals or concerts. I also like watching movies, however I alway get tired while watching and then I fall asleep nearly every time I watch a movie :D really annoying hahah

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

After I finished high school I travelled through Australia and Asia for one year. In Australia I mainly worked as an au pair and after that I started travelling around. I had the best time of my life where I met amazing people that are still my closest friends.
