My name is Alice. I am a newly qualified Occupational Therapist. The mental health and advocacy aspects of my job are my favourite. I am a very easy going person. I like to do projects and chat with people about the world and what's happening in it :) I enjoy learning from others and teaching others. I love cooking, sewing, painting, making music, singing, building with clay, gardening and going for walks. I am a firm believer in kindness and equity. I enjoy having a beer or hot chocolate around my fire place with good company. I don't really have patience for hate speech and intolerance of any kind.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I recently moved onto a farm where I am slowly building up a rather huge retreat, conference and function space. It's really beautiful! I also work part time in Cape Town. This means I need some help and some company! If you feel like having a quiet rest away from the big city and you are able to assist me in caring for my pets when I am away, good conversation, or help working in the garden... then let me know!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I recently returned home after an incredible year completing my community service year working at a very rural hospital in the Transkei near Port St Johns on the East Coast of South Africa. I worked here as an Occupational Therapist and made really great friends in one of the sea side villages :) I miss it!
