I am 21 years old student in socio-anthropology. I'm taking a year off to work on projects and experience new things.
Visiting Japan has always been one of my dreams, I'm spending 3 months in this country to immerse myself in its culture and meet its inhabitants.

Through my anthropology studies, I’ve learned to be very sociable.
I'm a creative person, I’m hard working, I'm also a realy good cook and I have easy contact with children. I'm a musician (a play guitar and piano), I do a lot of sewing, I'm learning to film and edit videos, I draw, I read a lot and I'm a cinephile.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to discover Japan off the usual tourist paths. All I hope from the hosts is for them to open their houses and their hearts to me. I would like them to make me discover their daily life and transmit their knowledge to me. Through them, I hope to discover what is Japan.
Moreover, I seek a real exchange, I would like to give of myself as much as I will receive from others.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a huge fan of music. I can spend hours searching for rare pearls, sharpening my taste: from brazilian guitars to african rhythmics, from jazz to mongolian songs, from electro to 60's iranian pop, from trip-hop to rap ... Music is for me a great way to discover others and what affects them, but also to introduce me.

I watch a lot of movies. My dream would be to be a filmmaker one day, so I'm learning for the moment to film and edit videos and plunge into the work of others.

I read enormously, at the moment I try to read philosophy's books and I discover a passion
for chinese female writers.

To finish, I am very creative, I write, I draw, I make do-it-yourself, I also sew a lot. For example, most of the clothes I wear are from thrifts stores or have been given to me and I remake them on my measurements.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This year I realized that I was not really blooming in my life, so I decided to leave everything (my life in Brussels, my friends, my apartment, my studies ...) and start new things. I follow my dreams, I try to be more faithful to myself. And here I am ! I am in Japan, I learn to make movies, I confront my fears ... I reinvent who I am :)

I work hard to achieve my goals. I worked to pay for my studies, and also for my travels, so I learned very early to be able to fend for myself. I’ve had varied experiences in my different jobs which made me very versatile. I adapt quickly to any kind of situation.
