About Me
Hello fellow travellers!
My name is Lilly, I am 24 years old and during the last years I had my fair share of wonderful adventures. Some of my favorite memories around the globe include living in Australia for a year when I was 15, hitchhiking from the Baltic sea in Poland to the Mediterranean Sea in Croatia, backpacking Marocco and India and working at a hospital in Uganda.
I am a Leipzig-based medical student, which naturally does take up a lot of my free time, but during the holidays I never miss a chance to travel. I'm an adventurous person, hitchhiker-friendly, love being outdoors, but I also very much enjoy peace and quiet and I am not much of a party person. I'd rather talk for hours in a pub or underneath the stars than go clubbing, but with the right people I believe you can enjoy yourself anywhere.
I care deeply about the people surrounding me and very much believe in being open to everything and everyone - just don’t be an asshole. Also, I am living vegan and me and my flat mates are trying to be as sustainable as possible, and our home is an LGQBT+ friendly place - which means that I'd at least expect you to respect that, even if you don't share my opinions.
Of course I want to get to know you, your country, your culture, your thoughts, and there are a lot of freeloaders out there on Couchsurfing who don't share that same spirit, but I won't turn down anyone that means well. My home is your home and if that's what you need you can just nap on my couch all day. And speaking of, please type "pizza" in your message and tell me a bit about yourself so I know that you actually read my profile! Otherwise the chances that I am replying are very low! ;-)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I experienced kindness everywhere from all sorts of people and I want to give some of this back. I believe travelling is a give and take.
Interests
I draw and paint myself a lot, but not on a professional level, and you'll rarely see me without a book to read. Apart from that, I enjoy making and listening to music too (although on a very very amateur level). And of course, travelling and languages are on the top of my list. I started Spanish and I want to learn some French later on.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: A lot… Rock, Metal (mainly Post and Death), Indie/Alternative, Classic and open for everything that is not solely electronic.
Books: Also a lot. Let's just say I enjoy classics (like Dostoyevsky, Hesse, Wilde), but also modern stuff (like David Mitchell or Juli Zeh) and occasionally a good fantasy book or thriller.
Movies: I'm really not much into movies, but I am always happy to try new things! So if you want to watch your favourite movie together, I am totally up to it.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can offer: An open mind, lots of laughs, many stories and talking for hours about whatever. Sometimes I bring my guitar with me, but I am very shy with playing. And I can also cook quite well (so they say) and of course I'm always happy to help around the house, do the dishes and whatever household task you might hate the most.
