Hi, my name is Sofie, I'm a Belgian girl on a 1-year work-travel visa and my goal is to travel through Canada with old campervan called 'Alfie' (if he doesn't fall apart in the meantime). Canadian spring is more chilly than expected though, so sleeping outside in the van is still out of the question. While waiting for the snow to melt and temperatures to rise, I visit cities and try to meet up with awesome locals :). So far I was in Montreal, Quebec, and Rimouski. Next up are Ottawa, Toronto, and Chicago.

I'm a chill girl with a slight OCD for cleanliness, even while hiking :p. I currently earn some money as a freelance geolocation transmitter installer on big events in the USA and as an academic editor, graphic designer, legal researcher,... I'm very open-minded and relax. Before leaving Belgium I finished a Master degree in Management ánd a training as a sports therapist (with sports massage, taping, Kinesio taping, etc.), so if you have aches, I'd gladly use you as my guinea pig and tape you from head to too.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Build a toilet shed in the middle of nowhere.
Buy an old Ford E350 1996 van to cross Canada (work in progress, both the van and the travels :p).

Teach, Learn, Share

I usually make pancakes during the weekend and can teach you about our Belgian beers or vegan food.
I'm a sports therapist and a pilates instructor, I'd gladly give you a pilates class.
Learning about new cultures, personalities, places to visit, ... are my main reason to be on CS.

I gave up everything in Belgium to travel in an old campervan through Canada for one year, so I'm unable to host for the moment.
