Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I don't often host myself or stay with hosts when I'm travelling, but I love the idea of being able to meet up with locals or help a traveller around my hometown, something that would be way more difficult without Couchsurfing.
Music, Movies, and Books
Writers: Proust, Eco, Borges, Sebald, Sartre, Beckett, Yourcenar, Auster, Huysmans, plus a lot of poetry (Hölderlin, Trakl, Eliot) and non-fiction (history, economics, science..)
Movies: Apocalypse Now, Seventh Seal, Memento, Monty Python, Pulp Fiction, Dr. Strangelove, pretty much everything by the Coen brothers or Terrence Malick
Music: a lot of classical, and bits and pieces of everything else, such as metal, rock, folk, industrial..
