Overview
About Me
Hi all! I just finished a fifteen month solotrip that took me around the world, going wherever the wind took me. As much as I love to talk about it, I don't think this is the place... So about me, the first thing you'll notice is that there's a lot of bullshit coming out of my mouth. Really, it's never boring hehehe. Also I'm social, curious, and an active outdoor-lover. I can be a bit of an idiot at times, but all with dark sense of humour. Oh, and I'm stubborn. Very stubborn.
"Work a lot, explore more" seems to be my current mission!
My house lives in Roelofarendsveen, a village somewhat close to Amsterdam. However, for Dutch standards is quite far, not easily reacheable by bike... If you are interested in Dutch village life, you're welcome to come by for a day. Unfortunately, I'm not able to host and timewise I'm rather limited to weekends or evenings.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Taste the local life (note the food reference hehehe). I truly believe that it's a better way of travelling where you get to know people and have fun together
Interests
Where to start... Regarding sports, mainly gymnastics, inline skating and slacklining; but I also cannot resist a game of ultimate frisbee or catching some waves. Furthermore I recently discovered sailing and being out on the open sea. And most importantly, quality time with friends, wether it's getting some drinks or videocalling across the globe!

Music, Movies, and Books
Metal. Definitely metal. I can appreciate bands such as Asking Alexandria, Marylin Manson, Shinedown, Stone Sour, Breaking Benjamin, Five Finger Death Punch, Sonata Arctica, Static-X, Halestorm, In This Moment, and many many more! When it comes to books, I would choose mystery novels or non-fiction informative books. This combined with many sports doesn't leave much time for movies
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I crossed the Atlantic via Antarctica, South Georgia and Tristan da Cunha on a tallship, the Europa
Teach, Learn, Share
My kind of wisdom: The best beer is an open one!
I can teach you how to walk on a slackline. To learn, I would love to learn how to cook more vegetarian dishes from around the world. My most recent lesson got me an addiction to olive oil and coriander... Also I'd love to learn more life skills, or anything that's useful, fun or impressive!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook some mean vegetatian dishes, provide fun company and tell you about Dutch culture if you wish
