Hi my friend.

My name is Martina and I was born in the north of the Czech Republic in a town called Most. It is a small town, famous for brown coal mining. Around this town are beautiful areas, that were recultivated after mining, there is also lot of mountains, dams and a lot of ruins of old castles and chateaux.

Thanks to the fact that I was able to grow up in this city and my parents divorced quite soon, I made many trips with my dad throughout the country. I'm trully lover of nature, forests and ruins of old castles.

Five years ago I moved to Prague where I completed a bachelor's degree in applied ecology and now I am studying nature conservation for engineer degree...

For the last two years I travel around Europe only by a hitchhiking to get an incredible insight into cultures in other countries.

I participated twice in a ten-day hitchhiking race. The first year was called Low Cost race and the second year was X-Challenge. The conditions of the race are that you are traveling ten days with a limited budget, you can have food for the first 24 hours, and you need to do some crazy challenges. For example? Hitchhiked the plane, bet all your remaining money on the red in rulete at the casino, sing the song in public, be for a one day YES MAN ... likewise.

My life is quite crazy when I'm not in the countryside or traveling, I spend time in Prague, where I study and have my part time job like a receptionist in a shopping mall.

I love my life... Freedom. Deciding at the last minute. Nature. Mainly forests. Different cultures. Tradition. Laughter. Or at least the smiles of people all around. Joy. Love. Mountains. But also the ocean. The rustle of water. Jumping into puddles. Spontaneity. Rain. The wind in my hair ... I can't stay in one place for long. Because that's exactly what I love.

I enjoy meeting new people and sharing stories. I enjoy how different we are. We can share our country-specific tips on where to eat and what places to visit.

What I Can Share with Hosts

What can I share with you? The bathroom is always equipped with shower gel, shampoo and toothpaste. What I can offer you is a towel or hairdryer. My apartment is also equipped with a fully functional kitchen and all utensils for cooking anything. As for sleeping, I have both a pillow and a blanket for you. What else can I lend you? I can only think of a phone charger ...
