Hi,
I'm Melissa and I come from wonderfully windy northern Germany. My shoe size is 39 and my toothpaste brand is meridol. I like to be on the road and get inspired by crazy ideas. I've spent the last few years living mainly in Lübeck and doing my bachelor's degree in psychology. Right now I'm traveling a lot and seizing the opportunities that arise. A lot of this takes place on traditional sailing ships, with which I explore the Baltic Sea region from the water. Either as a sailor or as a speaker for environmental education. I like getting to know new perspectives and experiencing everyday life in different countries at first hand.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

For me, couchsurfing is an opportunity to try out a more honest way of traveling than would be possible with (a lot of) money. I firmly believe in inspiration through encounters and am convinced that we have deeper experiences when we come into contact with real people than when we are lying by the hotel pool. I want to get a true impression of an area and collect memories that I can still enthusiastically tell my great-grandchildren about.

Centres d'intérêt

When I'm not out on the water, you'll often find me in the gym between the uneven bars and the balance beam. As a gymnast, I like to be active and move around. I mainly earn my living by working as a waitress on ships, at events or in restaurants. If I still have time, I like to meet up with friends to cook or read a good book. If you're lucky, I'll be in a cinnamon bun phase again and we can enjoy a Swedish fika together at the weekend ;).

I'm always up for a good cup of coffee or tea to discuss socially critical topics - from politics to popcorn, take me with you into the questions that are currently on your mind! I can contribute a certain amount of environmental knowledge, solid basic knowledge of psychology and the courage to think utopian!
