Hey I´m Kathi.
I'm 25 years old and currently studying philosophy and pedagogy as a second Bachelor of arts. I also have degree in Literature and German philology.
In my freetime I do a lot of theatre. I play in a group with some other students. We had perfomances e.g. of Lorca´s "Yerma" or Ibsen´s "Nora". Besides I have a theatergroup with children in primary school, where I also work as an educator.

When i´m not working at Rituals Cosmetics (side job) or doing theatre, I like to hang out with friends, go to the Cinema, theatre or club, visit exhibitions or do some yoga class. I love to visit friends in other cities as well or explore new countries.

I think my friends would say about me, that i´m open-minded, friendly, well organized and interested in every culture and arts.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to get to know people from different countries who show me their way of living. I think travelling means exploring instead of looking at the new place as an outsider. And as every other student knows, it is hard to keep the money together.

BOOKS:
Kafka - everything / Hugo von Hofmannsthal:Jedermann (the play of everyman) / Joseph von Eichendorff: memoirs of a good-for-nothing / Christian Kracht: Faserland / Arthur Schnitzler: a dream novel

MUSIC:
Currently my playlists mostly includes Fleet Foxes, Bilderbuch, Gesaffelstein, Gold Zebra and Bon Iver. But of course it depents on my mood and the situation. I like to listen to electro, house, electro-funk, goa, swing, classical music or sometimes just the radio.

MOVIES:
Victoria/ Castle in the Sky / Spirited Away / Oh Boy / Wiener Dog / Whiplash / Frances Ha - this are my favorite movies. But I often go to the Cinema or watch movies with my friends. Therefore e.g. i like to watch Wes Anderson´s, Marvel or Pixar movies.

And all in all i have to say, that i´m a sucker for Harry Potter.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

About two years ago i travelled with a friend of mine through europe. It was an amazing trip. We travelled by car from Germany to Austria, Italy, Nice, France, Spain, Belgium and back to Germany and stayed everywhere as long as we liked to. We explored exciting cities, lovely little places and meet interesting People.
