Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've always stayed in hostels while traveling, and I've always loved making new connections with fellow travelers through that form. I figured this would be a great way to meet even more like-minded individuals, and to broaden my horizons meeting all different kinds of people. I'm unable to offer a place at the moment, but hopefully that will change soon! I would love to be able to offer my space to people who are on the road! When that space finally becomes ready for it, I will change my status from traveler to host! I won't lie, another reason I'm here is that a free/cheap place to stay is very appealing.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: everything that makes me feel like grooving! Old classics like Floyd, The Beatles, Crosby Stills Nash and Young, Frank Zappa, David Burn David Bowie, etc. Jazz like miles Davis,Stanley Clark, chic corea , Jeff Beck, etc.
Newer styles like punk, ska, grunge, coffee house indie, electronic dance stuff, newgrass , etc.
The cat empire, modest mouse, sublime, Priums, tenacious d, system of a down, reel big fish, old crow medicine show...

Movies: Coen Brother's films, Miyazaki films, ...short list but I love good film when I see it!

Books: I'm on a huge sci-fi/fantasy kick right now. Martin,Jordan, Pratchett, King,McCaffery, oh so many more
