Overview
About Me
We are a couple living in South QLD, Australia who love travelling the world on motorcycles (and by other means). In 2017 we rode through the most of India on Royal Enfields; we visited Timor Leste in 2019 rode around for a few weeks there. Some of our trip photos are here: https://a-and-p-and-2res.smugmug.com
We are currently living off-grid in South Central QLD, in a cabin we built ourselves. We both enjoy living close to nature and all things permaculture and sustainability.
Anya is a physiotherapist by background, but now studying Ayurveda (India's holistic healing system) and passionate about improve people's lives with natural approaches. She is passionate about adventure motorcycling and being in nature. She's happiest when she can be active outdoors (hiking, cycling, rock climbing, swimming, camping etc. She enjoys making and sharing food (particularly Ayurvedic food) from ethically sourced ingredients.
Philipp is an organisational psychologist by background and currently working for a tech startup. Personally, he loves motorbikes, adventure travel, the ocean/nature, and natural building and is also happiest being outdoors.
We're currently building an earthbag guest house on our property and are keen to share what we know about natural building (and always keen for an extra pair of hands to help!). We are both vegetarian and rarely drink alcohol. Where we live is about 30 mins from the town of Miles, it's very secluded out here and the access track is a bit rough and dusty. Please be aware that this is a remote location and there is no public transport into town.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing

What I Can Share with Hosts
We can share the two things which we have found most valuable as travellers: local contacts in far away places and firsthand knowledge/experience. We can provide simple meals for short term guests and facilities for longer term guests.
Additionally we have photos and videos from all across India; knowledge of motorcycles and riding, yoga (practicing Ashtanga for 12 yrs/teaching yoga for 6), Australian and Canadian culture; love of travel and adventure. We are respectful and good company!
