We are a married couple Tomáš (28 years old) and Serena (27 years old) from Prague. We've been together for 11 years and decided to try living in Mexico. Exploring the world and meeting people is a way for us to become better people, strengthen our relationship, reflect, and overcome obstacles. Furthermore, it stimulates core human values and it's useful as a tool to seek an alternative to "normality". We instead choose to shape our reality.

Our journey started a few years ago back when we were volunteers in a foundation that helps children living in poverty for 6 months in the town of Ventanas in Ecuador and after we spent 2 months in Amazonia with the Kichwa people. Unfortunately, we had to move back to our country because of the Covid 19 pandemic. But we didn't give up on our dream and so after some time back home we went to Granada - Spain for 8 months as volunteers in Ciudad de los niños. In the end, we spent 11 beautiful months in Andalucía. We´ve recently moved to Mexico and we love it here! A rich country in culture, food, and people. Let´s get exploring!

An important part of our lives are our dogs and in general, we are animal lovers. We like sports a lot - yoga, gym, bicycles, basketball, volleyball, hiking, and climbing. Moreover, we adore nature, literature, languages, and cooking. We prefer adventurous low-cost traveling - sleeping under the sky or in a tent, cooking outside, hitchhiking, and also long-distance hiking trails. Apart from that, we´ve fallen in love with the slow travel lifestyle and long-distance hiking trails. From where we stand it makes for amazing bonds with the place/people.

This account was originally created for Tomáš only, but as time went on we realized we ought to upgrade it to our current duo traveling status. Hence the references etc.

Somos esposos Tomáš (28 años) y Serena (27 años) de Praga. Llevamos 11 años juntos y decidimos probar a vivir en México. Explorar el mundo y conocer gente es para nosotros una forma de convertirnos en mejores personas, compartir, fortalecer nuestra relación, reflexionar y superar obstáculos. Además, viajar ayuda a estimular los valores humanos fundamentales y es útil como herramienta para buscar una alternativa a la "normalidad". En lugar de ello, elegimos dar nuestra propia forma a la realidad.

Nuestro viaje empezó hace unos años cuando fuimos voluntarios en una fundación que ayuda a niños que viven en la pobreza durante 6 meses en un pueblo de Ventanas en Ecuador y después pasamos 2 meses en la Amazonia con el pueblo Kichwa. Desgraciadamente tuvimos que volver a nuestro país a causa de la pandemia del Covid 19. Pero no renunciamos a nuestro sueño y después de un tiempo en casa nos fuimos a Granada - España durante 7 meses como voluntarios en la Ciudad de los niños. Al final pasamos 11 hermosos meses en Andalucía. En la actualidad estámos en México desde hace un mes. Parece un país sumamente interesante y nos alegra de que nos hayamos mudado aquí.

Parte importante de nuestras vidas son nuestros perros y en general somos amantes de los animales. Nos gusta mucho el deporte - yoga, gimnasia, bicicletas, baloncesto, voleibol, senderismo, escalada. Además, adoramos la naturaleza, la literatura, los idiomas y la cocina. Preferimos los viajes aventureros de bajo coste - dormir bajo el cielo o en una tienda de campaña, cocinar al aire libre, hacer autostop y también rutas de senderismo de larga distancia. Aparte de eso, nos hemos enamorado del estilo de vida slow travel. Desde nuestro punto de vista, crea vínculos increíbles con el lugar y la gente.

Esta cuenta fue creada originalmente sólo para Tomáš, pero con el tiempo nos dimos cuenta de que debíamos actualizarla a nuestro actual estado de viaje en pareja. De ahí las referencias, etc.

Esperamos con mucha ilusión todos los hermosos encuentros con la comunidad.

Traveling is our passion and Couchsurfing just gets the job done! We're so glad there's such a platform for people around the world. Now we're able to sleep over anywhere at a local, share, make friendships, meet with like-minded people, reflect on our cultures and all of that without the commercial garbage.

Viajar es nuestra pasión y Couchsurfing nos ayuda a conseguirlo. Estamos muy contentos de que exista esta plataforma para gente de todo el mundo. Ahora podemos quedarnos a dormir en cualquier lugar, compartir, hacer amistades, conocer gente con ideas afines, reflexionar sobre nuestras culturas y todo eso sin la basura comercial. Que viva CS !

Musica, film e libri

In general, we prefer old-school American rap music of the 80s, 90s referred to also as the golden age of Hip - Hop. Not to be confused with what is out today. Otherwise classic, country, jazz, Czech music, and lately reggaeton and salsa. For partying electronic music - DnB, Psytrance, Techno.

With movies, we like to think while watching the film so those American blockbusters just aren't for us. Czech films are cool, we've recently started checking out old movies. We´ve added Spanish and Latin films recently.

En general, preferimos el rap americano de la vieja escuela de los años 80 y 90, también conocido como la edad de oro del Hip Hop. No confundir con lo que se escucha hoy en día. Por lo demás, música clásica, country, jazz, música checa y, últimamente, reggaeton y salsa. Para salir de fiesta, música electrónica: DnB, Psytrance y Techno.

En cuanto al cine, nos gusta pensar mientras vemos la película, así que las superproducciones americanas no son para nosotros. Las películas checas molan, hace poco hemos empezado a ver películas antiguas. Recientemente hemos añadido películas españolas y latinas.

Libros de poesía, fantasía, ciencia ficción, educativos y sobre viajes.
