Hey! I'm Rachel, a 24 year old travelling teacher, originally from London but calling Hamburg , and occasionally Lisbon home for now.
Open minded, always up for meeting new people, sharing stories and experiences and food.

I've been travelling on my own, teaching and working for the last 6 years now. Sometimes working as an English teacher and sometimes a cocktail bartender, always up for sharing stories and a drink (and hey I can teach you some cocktail recipes too!)

I'm passionate about all kinds of education (my current job is as a homeschool teacher) and especially learning through experiences and travel

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I love exploring new places, meeting new people and making new friends and couchsurfing is the perfect way to do all these things! I've met amazing, like-minded people here that have shown me the real life of their cities and homes and have become real friends. In my eyes that's what travelling is all about.

Too many books to list... reading the works of Paulo Coelho always feels like home and growing up reading the works of the Beat Generation, Kerouac and Ginsburg inspired me to live the life I currently aspire to and .
Haruki Murakami is a current favorite at the moment, and its my goal to read 52 books every year (so far I've managed this!) in between studying Physics and working.
