Hi I'm Dom, a happy, grateful and adventurous person. I try to make the most of every day so I can look back at my life while knowing I lived life the fullest. Which is why I created a bucket list to put everything in perspectives and to have a purpose. I got back from an amazing trip through central and South America and I am now working for Dopper, a sustainable water bottle. I love the ocean and everything in it (definitely a summer girl). I wouldn’t define myself as a typical Dutchy. I am always working, studying or traveling around the world as I don’t feel attached to a home in the Netherlands. I’ve always been very interested in different cultures especially their cuisines and lifestyles which means I’m up for trying out new things and go on adventures. However, I have now decided to settle in Haarlem for a while which I really love. I’m still exploring the city so I’d be exploring together with you.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I’ve found out that I want to travel in a different way. I don’t want to go to the standard backpackers hostels but want to experience the local lifestyle while I can improve my Spanish. The best spots I’ve been to were always the most difficult to get to and often just with locals and without any wifi. As I also prefer one on one conversations I think couchsurfing is the best place for me to discover places like this and meet people who I can have great conversations with. It’s important for me to understand other people’s cultures when traveling through a country and hopefully this platform will help me be a better person and tourist.

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

I love a good conversation accompanied by good vegetarian food as I love to cook, I can make some delicious food. I’m a social and fun person who unfortunately can’t play any instruments but loves to (learn how to) dance haha! I would also love to do yoga or meditation together.
