I am 20 years old and was raised in London. I am currently studying at degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences at Utrecht University, majoring in Neuroscience and Biology. I have been given the opportunity to study one semester abroad in Japan and I'm currently based in Yamanashi.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couch surfing because I hope to get to know each town/city/country I stay in from a local perspective and be given the opportunity to fully engage with and enjoy where I am. I also wish to share with my hosts or guests a part of myself, maybe widening their perspectives so they can understand where I come from.

Music, Movies, and Books

I was raised on rock and reggae, but living in the Netherlands has turned me into a techno convert. I still listen to a lot of Liquid Drum and Bass which I fell into hearing throughout my teenage years in London.
Books, I'm an avid reader and burn through books as a consequence I am always looking for new recommendations. My favourite book is The Girl with the Pearl Earring because the colours are described in such an exceptionally vivid manner.
Movies I love the godfathers, lord of the rings, Star Wars, avatar, and Hitchcock films (birds).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelled the coast of California by myself only with a surfboard and some clothes on hand.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach people English or basic German. I would love to further practice my very basic Japanese while I'm living in Japan. I can share with host my enjoyment of painting, photography, and cooking. I guess my bets skill to share with my host is my ability to bake cakes and make desserts meaning I can bake you cake if you tell me your preferences.
