Overview
About Me
I'm 26 and it's so far the oldest I've been (haha) and I travel annually for music festivals. Firefly, Bonnaroo, Electric Forest etc. I'm not much in to social media because I'm a hippie and I prefer to limit my use of technology nowadays. I have lived in Gloucester county Virginia almost my whole life. I love music and animals. Especially cats and ferrets! I still play guitar though not as often as I used to. I work at a local diner in the courthouse area
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I heard about couchsurfing on a blog I read as well as fellow festival goers. Other than that I'm clueless as to how this works or even it's origin. But the bottom line reason is that I usually travel alone so meeting new people and avoiding hotels is killing two birds with one stone!
Interests
I went to my first concert when I was 14 and saw The Rolling Stones at Cavalier stadium and from then on I've seen well over 100 bands including Eric Clapton, Van Halen, The Police, Aerosmith, The Allman Brothers, Death Cab for Cutie, Mumford and Sons, Blink 182, Grouplove and the list is endless! When it comes to traveling I would like to start making it a point to almost get lost on purpose. Few surprises that are life changing happen when a trip is planned to the minute. As for philosophic likes I always loved Henry David Thoreau. The first true western hippie in my mind. (Obviously familiar with Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, Locke, Emerson etc.)

Music, Movies, and Books
Alternative Rock, Classic Rock, Psychedelic Rock, Classical... Ernest Hemingway, John Steinbeck, Ray Bradbury, Henry David Thoreau... Children of Men, The Royal Tenenbaums, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Moonrise Kingdom, 28 Days Later.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Climbed to the top of the Sagrada Familia and looked across Barcelona to the Mediterranean Sea. Amazing isn't the word
Teach, Learn, Share
I would greatly enjoy someone who would be willing to tag along with me to a festival or camping trip to teach to them what I know and learn what they can teach. I'm a verbal person so I'm big on talking about my life experiences and hearing about yours. And sharing? I'm as open as a book when it comes to face-to-face! Share stories. Share a few beers. We are much more interesting than we think
What I Can Share with Hosts
Some pocket money. Good company I would like to think! Possibly a travel companion.
