Hi! I'm Noémie and I come straight from a country full of good things: chocolate, beer and Belgian fries! It's Belgium 🇧🇪

I've left my whole life behind to realize my dream trip: backpacking through South America and experiencing things that will take me out of my comfort zone. Above all, I'd like to travel slowly and stay several months in each country. This will help me immerse myself in the culture and really enjoy the place.

what else... ah yes, I'm passionate about sport, I've been doing karate since I was 5 🥋 I'm still as passionate as ever and I did a lot of competition in my country and Europe the last few years. Otherwise, I love photography, video editing and graphic design. All these things make me happy, but family and friends (in Belgium and at the other side of the world) are the most important thing for me. I'd love to meet lots of new people on my trip, it's so enriching.

So far, I've spent 3 months in Colombia, then moved on to Ecuador, Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia and Peru. Now I'm in Mexico, ready to improve my Spanish, eat a looot of delicious spicy food and discover this wonderful history. After all that, I'll come back to my special country, Colombia, to be with my bf.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I love to live experiences and meet new people all over the world!! 🥳 I started to do couchsurfing during my big trip in south America and I love it! I like to start by CS when I arrive in a place rather than going to a hostel, to get the best advice, the best of the place.

Música, películas y libros

I love reading! Especially on the bus when I'm travelling, when it's raining, in the car... My fav books are "Je revenais des autres", "Je suis ton soleil" and "Vers la beauté". I know, all french.

I'm also a big music fan ! I listen to everything depending on my mood: indie, rock, reggaeton, pop ... Yes, everything.

- Seeing sea turtles in the Galapagos was my dream, and I cried underwater!
- Surfing at sunrise in Brazil while volunteering... We stayed up all night so we could get to the beach at 5 a.m
- Travel to Japan for a karate competition
- Sleep on a hammock on a deserted beach, facing the sea in Colombia, and watch the stars
- I didn't sleep for a month to take part in Rio Carnival. I'm still tired from this month 😂
- When I was in Italy, I ate in the restaurant that invented margharita pizza in Naples ... AMAZING
- Doing the Huayhuash trek for 8 days, what a hard and beautiful experience
