I have just completed my studies and work as a history teacher in Rotterdam. I'm an honest, optimistic and energetic person who always looks for new challenges and tries to inspire other people. I really love running which keeps my body and mind fit. Besides I have a great passion for history and culture and like to write, to read books and to explore new countries.

Best book - The Warmth of Other Suns. It's a book telling the stories of Afro-Americans during the Great Migration in the US. It beautifully captures the struggles and personal achievements of these migrants in their lives that are really inspiring.

A three-week cycle holiday with my best friend in Italy in August 2012. Without specific training we covered about a distance of 1,000 KM despite the intense summer heat. The concept was very simple: starting in Florence, we cycled each day to another camping and along our way we visited beautiful cities and places. Everyday was a challenge and big surprise.
