About Me

After returning from an overseas adventur, we realize now more than ever that we consider ourselves lucky to be born Dutch, with access to a whole continent with open borders for us Europeans to roam freely.

About myself and my company
I am wife to Martijn and soon mommy to be. I am already a dog mommy of a cute Spanish water dog who I saved from the streets of Spain.

We love nature to the fullest and love animals so much, luckily we are surrounded by nature in this part of the village.

I an always there to rescue animals in need, it is simply in our nature to do so. We are vegetation but 95% of the time we are vegan. We have been vegan for a really long time. It is nice needing the planet instead of simply kill the life on it to support ourselves. Something people take for granted is that nothing is certain and guaranteed, is how I see it. It's better to accept that what is given to you then to take what you think should been given to you.

I love to bake new recipes, that needed to be changed or needed to be made vegan or turned healthy. I always had the ambition to start my own vegan food business, but things in life are constantly changing so I will enjoy it the way it comes. I will grab every opportunity that comes my way to spread my passion and knowledge.

A lot of excited stuff awaits me, but that never stops me from looking around. Some day I really like to hitch hike, I heard so much stories from hosts and surfers who have done it, that it is on my bucket list now. On my bucket list as well, is learning international sign language, must be awesome to be able to speak to those who can't use their voice or aren't able to hear speech.

Music, Movies, and Books

No favorite music, only a strong dislike for some types of genres.
If need to choose music, I like to go down to
memory lane and listen to 90's music and the
early 2000's. Nowadays music sounds too
similar to one another, for my taste.

I like movies which make me laugh and aren't heavy on the mind.
All time favourite is 'White Chicks', those
Waynan brothers sure can make me laugh.

No books, only recipes and plant encyclopedia.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travel through Germany by bycicle with my husband. We took our stuff, prepared our city bikes and toured through Germany like a couple of hobos. That was our first experience with couchsurfing.

Adopting pets is such an amazing feeling. To give animals a home that no longer have one or need another warm caring home with humans that love them.

Taking the car, man and dog, grab some stuff, pack the car and leave for 5 weeks to travel around Europe. That is our largest travel. We saw, drove through and experienced 11 countries and met a few of its surfers, travellers and locals. In total we drove 5600km through Europe avoiding the highway, surfed 6 times, slept in the car 3 times, wild camped 4 times and spending 6 days at 3 campings. Went to two museums, saw two falling stars, skinny dipped twice in the 10 degree river Sava, swam in 4 mountain lakes and rivers, swam in 2 oceans, saw 1 waterfall, saw two deers from up close and survived a thunderstorm on the road in Hungary.

Getting my drivers license is one thing that I will cherish forever. In my first days after getting it I drove myself, my husband and dog to Paris. After that roadtrip I am in love with Paris and will return many times.

Drove again through Europe, this time to Spain another 5200km in just two and a half weeks. We drove in three countries, skinny dipped once more in a mountain river, stayed with two hosts, for the rest of the trip only in the car. Hiked 3 hours on the cliffs next to the Atlantic Ocean and rappel and climb 1400 steps in the hope of seeing a beautiful light house, saw 53.000 year old cave paintings made by Neanderthal people, saw nearly all structures of Gaudi's, visited the oldest medieval city, Carcassonne and ending up seeing fort Boyard and the salt pans from île d'oleron. But the most beautiful was picking all the spots to call it the night, where we ended up being amazed by the dance, the fireflies gave us.

Emigrating to another country, which happened to be a continent as well, Australia. Unsuccessfully but we gained a lot from it such as new perspectives, love for our own country and most of all we became stronger as individuals and couple. Now starting our lives again from the ground on up. With a bright future ahead with expanding our family.
