About Me
Well it's really nice being back on CS after 5 years!
Buondì! My name is Caterina, an Italian from Udine (Friuli Venezia Giulia). I'm working as a trainee lawyer, and always had a keen eye on social activism
I started using CS freshmen year as I was living on my own and had a lot of room.
My first experience was hosting a French couple who was attempting to travel the world only by hitchiking and couchsurfing. I was seriously impressed by the way they were managing their journey, so I got interested and host people until I moved.
Sadly I can't host anyone right now but I have beautiful memories of people who passed by!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
So far I haven't been traveling that much, so I don't really know what I'd be looking for as a couchsurfer... On the other hand I love hosting people and making them comfortable, since traveling can be pretty challenging, despite being such a glorious human thing.
Interests
One of my biggest interests is community living. I like to study the processes and fenomena under communities and how they are affected by the changes of public spaces.

Music, Movies, and Books
Some of my all time favorite movies are Good Will Hunting and All about my mother. Among more recent films I liked: inshallah a boy, happy as lazzaro, la chimera
Love music with a nice bass line and a strong beat!
Some of my fav songs are Andrea (F. De Andrè), Borders (M.I.A.), Starter (L. Dalla), Bloodflod pt. II (alt-j)
Books: memoirs of Hadrian (Yourcenar), Salvage the bones (Ward), House of Rust (Bajaber), the corrections (Franzen)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I turned 18 my friends bought me a ticket for a Sigur Ros concert in Linz, AT. They also gave me some money to buy another one for my ex boyfriend. Shortly after, we split up. For months I tried to sell the ticket. Eventually, the week before the concert I made up my mind, booked the train ticket for Linz and went to the concert on my own. All of this just a few days after the end of my final year exams! It was totally worth it.
