I'm a psychology student from (around) Zurich, Switzerland. I have been travelling to many countries in different ways with my family growing up. Two years ago I started travelling more on my own and I came to like it a lot, especially because of the friendships I was able to build through my 3month stay in Vancouver in 2017 for example. Having met awesome people who travel for live, I have been introduced to a different form of travelling and experiences one could make while doing so, and I'm looking forward to keep making my own.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because people recommended this way of travelling to me and I want to try it myself more often. I had great experiences with airbnb before but didn't feel like I could bring something to the couchsurfing-community yet. Airbnb is mostly a business now so I like the idea of sharing each others home for the sake of travelling only.

Interests

I like the calmer things like bars, hiking, comedy, live music/shows with a seated audience. I'm not to fond of partying, big music festivals or clubs.

Music, Movies, and Books

Netflix, English/German Books (english: Gone Girl, In Cold Blood, Farenheit 451, books I read for school. German: Aus dem Leben eines Taugenichts, Koala, die Leiden des jungen Werthers, also books we read in school (I do like old german writers). Jazz/Blues/Non-Radio-Pop on Spotify or through collecting lots of cd's from the library and copying them onto my computer as a kid! Sharing is caring right?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. Making long lasting friendships through travelling.
2. Saw a fantastic lineup at the comedy store in LA for $15. And did a spontaneous 3-days solo roadtrip when I landed at LAX without a plan and place to sleep!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can't share too many stories yet but I do want to add more for being able to tell them later! I have many stories of the more typical way of travelling though with cheap hotels or cheap Airbnb's on roadtrips etc. I've stayed in several livingrooms before through airbnb or just crashing on a friends couch for a few nights.
