About Me
Hellooooo 👋🏻
My name is Charlene, and I'm an 18 y/o full time student, studying a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Melbourne, Australia. I plan on saving during my studies and travelling for as long as I can when I'm finished before diving into my 9-5.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I am able to travel, I would love to stay with strangers around the world. Apart from the obvious financial advantage, I think meeting these local, generous people is what travelling is about, and I would want nothing more to surround myself with great people like this who I aspire to be.
I would also love to host once I have the ability to, and meet new people that way also.

Music, Movies, and Books
I wish I read more than I do. However I do listen to heaps of music and I love film. I love all sorts of music, and am open to other people's musical tastes. Some of my favourite artists include:
Ry x, Keaton Henson, Jeff Buckley, M83, Tom Odell, Violent Soho, Matt Corby, Mac Demarco, dnè, LANKS, Radiohead, the list never ends...
Love either psychological movies that make my brain tick (Eg. Inception, Donnie Darko, We Need To Talk About Kevin, etc) or movies that I find beautiful (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Never Let Me Go, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, etc).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I saved one of my friends from choking while on a camping trip. Damn Heinz canned spaghetti.
Teach, Learn, Share
I teach piano, and love sharing the ability to perform music. I'm learning French and am a total beginner, so any help would be greatly appreciated 😅 id also love to one day learn Auslan/sign language, or how to draw, or more instruments. I absolutely love learning new things and sharing these skills with others :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'd love to be able to share my stories and culture, and maybe share a song or two.
