About Me

I'm Eric and I'm 23 years old. I'm spanish and catalan. I'm easy-going, calm, friendly and sometimes funny. I enjoy living new experiences and adventures and learning about anything. I always try to learn new things and be a little best person. For these reasons I love traveling and meeting new people. I believe this is the best way to become more open-minded (a quality that I think we all need to develop).

I love living in a simple way, reducing necessities and in direct contact with nature. Less is better! My goal in the long term is to achieve a self-sufficient lifestyle.
Nonetheless, I also love hanging out with my friends and drinking beers, or eating in a good restaurant, or watching a good movie, or practicing all kinds of sports...
But the most I love is the nature. I love the cold of the snow and the heat of the sand in a sunny day on the beach. I love the merely contemplation of the sunset or the dancing of the leaves because of the wind. When I feel good with myself, I need very little to be happy.

I'm studying economics and I really like it but I don't like how the economy works (this depraved capitalism based on neo-liberalism ideas). The more I learn about the system, the more anti-system I am. I think we should all learn a bit about economy. We could notice how we are engage in this system and participating in this walk towards the destruction. We could notice that we need a radical change, in the rules that conduct global society and in every aspect of our lives. We all know that the resources of the world are scarce, and we all know (or most of us) that we are consuming the resources faster than nature is able to produce them. But we do nothing. When we go to the market, we don’t think about that, about our dependence on the natural world. We just buy what we can afford depending on the prices, without care about the origin or the way it was produced. It doesn’t matter if it was made by a little boy exploded by a big company (Zara clothes for example) or it comes from the other part of the world. If it’s cheaper than a local-produced product we will buy it because it is “economic”, because this is what we learnt.
If neither the big corporations nor the governments take the responsibility about make a better world, it turns into the responsibility of all of us. We must care about our behaviour and our thinking way, in order to not let the others think for us, or guide our actions. We live in a spiritual war against ourselves. Humanity is sick beucause we received a wrong education and we must revolt against the whole belief system, starting with ourselves.
