Hello. My name is Jan, I'm from Prague, Czech Republic and currently I study journalism at Charles University. In January 2017, I have started studying in Finland as Erasmus student. Unfortunately for me, this adventure is coming to a conclusion very soon, but it has been one of the greatest experience of my life and I take it with a huge gratitude since I have mentally grown up because this is my first stay abroad.
I'm an open-minded, sociable person and I like interacting with people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a huge fan of classic rock, especially Guns N' Roses, Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen, Rolling Stones, U2, Kiss and Aerosmith.
Considering movies, I enjoy most action movies (Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, Rambo...), comedies, war movies and romantic films. At the same time, I'm very passionate about TV series, e.g. The Americans, House Of Cards, Designated Survivor, Gotham, Homeland, Friends and so on.
I love reading books, especially crime fiction, thrillers, memoirs, sports book and non-fiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have written a book about Guns N' Roses, which was published in September 2016. I started working on it in June 2011, despite the fact I did not have any idea at the time it would be released as book one day. I "finished" it three months later and I did not pay any attention to for the following three years. Then in September 2014 I promised myself I would start working on it again and find a publisher. It took several months, but at the end I was successfull and my dream - release a book about my most favourite band Guns N' Roses - came true.

Teach, Learn, Share

I work on my English every day, I want to be as best as I can and it's a long way to go, it's like a never-ending process. My dream is to learn Spanish and be fluent in it because it's a beautiful and very useful language and nowaday it's necessary to know other languages than only English. The more languages you know, the better for you.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I believe I can share knowledge about interests, I love learning new facts, especially about history, sport and music. I can also share my experience(s), I come from one of the most outstanding cities, Prague, which is definitely worth seeing it.
