About Me

Luckely, I have been able to travel a lot and meet many great people. They have inspired me and I have learned a lot from them.

How to describe me: I am not an 'out at the front' person, but I love to get to know new people, to have a good laugh (sometimes I have laughkicks which take some time to end), I love to dance and have a hard time sitting still when I hear music...
I really like to get to know new people.
Watching stand up comedy and (salsa) dancing is what I love to do when i am in a city. Nature, do sports, try new things, learn new things, yoga and meditation... Are also important in my life.

My idea is that so much in life is possible and much more is possible, then we primarily think of.
I think all the good things should be accessible to all people in life. (And the animals and nature :-)) For that reason I like to travel and make a contribution to the world at the same time. We can achieve so much good by connecting and working together. I really believe we can!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love couchsurfing because it's amazing to meet new people, new cultures and see how people are living. A hotel is so empty, so cold and so far of from society for me. It feels like locking yourself up. Every time someone opens his or her doors for me, I am amazed. Again and again. It's amazing over and over again that people are willing and ready to do this.. to help others, meet others and welcome others in their space. It makes me feel grateful every time again and I have learned a lot from this and from the lifes and ways of thinking of others, I dont have a house myself anymore, but I hope I will be able to host people in the future and share what I was given. Big thanks to all hosts!!!

Music, Movies, and Books

I can listen to so many different kinds of music. Thats the best way to describe it.
I like latin music, arabic music, african music and many more. I love live music and can get really touched when I see someone is passionate about making the music. When there is feeling in what they are doing. Well, it's always so nice to see people doing something they are passionate about.

I used to play music myself, but would really like to learn that (more) again and to do that more in life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Sleeping at temples in the jungle with full, bright moon and a clear sky.
- Meeting a band with great, great guys in America and roadtripping with them from gig to gig; seeing so many places, meeting so many nice people, learning to surf (a bit), making music an the bottom of a beautiful mountain with no one around,and.. enjoying the music of these guys every night again. I was so lucky!!
- By accident, ending up at a official, private party of the president of one of the countries where i was travelling. Without planning, or knowing, all of a sudden I found myself dancing at the party of the president and the presidents-candidate.

Oh, now I see you could only mention 1 thing. :-) Well, I think we are all so lucky with all our experiences while travelling. (and also while being home - . Lets not forget about that)
