It's a great way to meet local people when you're travelling. That creates friendships and contacts and these same people might as well come to your own city and you can return the favour. That creates some kind of community and I think it's a great concept!

I was an Aupair for two years in the US. For those who are not familiar with the term, you take care of kids but you are also a student, You´re also part of a family and it's one of the greatest ways to live abroad, by immersing yourself in the culture of another country, and improve your foreign language skills.
