About Me

My name is Jeremy, I'm 19, from Bowral, New South Wales, Australia, just a small, simple country town located approximately 2 hours south of Sydney. Before moving to Australia I lived in Singapore where I spent my early childhood years. I am now travelling throughout Europe with no real cemented plans, I am more so just taking things as they come, constantly learning and growing along the way. I am fairly laid back, easy going dude, compatible with a multitude of personalities.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

There are various contributing factors to my desire to couch surf as oppose to staying in hostels, hotels, airbnb's and other forms of accommodation throughout the course of my travels. The idea of spending quality time with locals and exchanging valuable and engaging conversation harnesses my interest entirely! I feel as though couch surfing provides travellers with the opportunity to acquire more authentic and genuine travelling moments and stories solely due to spending time with locals as oppose to going to a country, staying in a 5 star hotel and taking a few photographs of the iconic monuments. This is the primary reason as to why I want immerse myself into the world of couch surfing, to ultimately acquire a more authentic travelling experience.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share with hosts my own travelling experiences that will be fairly recent ones as I only set out on my adventure on the 17th of May 2017. I can also share with hosts my experience with Australia, Australian culture and more interestingly, how it compares to stereotypes and generalisations surrounding Australia and Australian culture. Given that Australia is Geographically so distant from Europe, I'm sure hosts would appreciate my own authentic perspective on the subject.
