Chi sono

To describe myself, I’d say I’m someone who loves meeting new people, exploring new places, camping in nature, biking through unfamiliar roads, and sleeping under the stars. ✨ Every journey amazes me especially the kindness of strangers I meet along the way. What I cherish most about traveling is the sense of freedom, the unexpected connections, and the pure joy it brings.

My name is Alfad, though some friends affectionately call me Mas Alfat. I’m still finding my path in life. I don't see myself as entirely good or bad just someone trying to live with intention. What matters to me is being able to help others, because we all share this one planet, regardless of race, religion, or beliefs. At the core, we’re all the same. 🌍

I warmly welcome anyone who’s curious to learn about new cultures, make new friends, or simply explore Yogyakarta my home. Let’s connect and share stories under the same sky.

If you're planning to stay with me, please take a moment to read my HOME DESCRIPTION 🏠

Perché sono iscritto su Couchsurfing

Sharing, making friends, and building global connections these are the ideas that bring us together. Couchsurfing is more than just a place to stay. it’s a space where people from different cultures, lifestyles, and perspectives come together. It’s also a great way to connect with others living in the same city.

Here in Yogyakarta, the Couchsurfing community hosts weekly meetups, which are a fantastic way to meet new people, share stories, and exchange ideas. For me, Couchsurfing isn’t just about free accommodation it’s about gaining authentic local experiences and forming meaningful friendships. I’ve met so many incredible people through this platform, and some of their stories have become memories I’ll always treasure.
___
One important thing to know if you're planning to stay at my place: please understand how to behave respectfully. Every city and country has its own customs, norms, and laws if you're ever unsure, don’t hesitate to ask me. I’m more than happy to help you understand local ways of living.

After a few unpleasant experiences, I feel the need to be very clear:
. My home is not a free hotel, and Couchsurfing isn’t just about finding a place to sleep it’s about cultural exchange and human connection.

If your intention is only to get free accommodation without interacting with your host, or if you plan to spend your time here glued to your phone or using dating apps and invite strangers or other people to my home without my permission, then my place might not be the right fit for you. You’d probably have a better experience in a hotel or hostel.

I apologize if this sounds too direct, but it’s important for me to maintain mutual respect and avoid frustration. That said, I’m an open-minded, easygoing, and fun person. I don’t care about your background whether you're rich or poor, black, white, red, yellow, or brown, straight, gay, trans, tall, short, slim, large, pretty, handsome, or not. Even if you feel like an alien in this world if you're kind and respectful, you’re welcome here.

Interessi

I love talking about culture, especially the beauty of cross-cultural understanding. For me, the differences between cultures are what make them so fascinating they offer endless opportunities to learn and grow. I'm deeply interested in topics like humanity, tolerance, art, identity, belief systems, and the many ways people seek happiness. These are the things that connect us, even in our diversity.

Sharing food with homeless people.

Insegna, impara, condividi

Experiential learning

Humanity should be our race, love should be our Religion.

Cosa posso offrire ai padroni di casa

If I have some free time, I'd be happy to show around and explore some of Yogyakarta’s hidden gems together.
