I come from the Czech Republic, where I studied Ecology and Environment in high school. Then I tried to study Philology (Czech language and literature) in Technical University of Liberec for one year, but I didn't enjoy the study system in my country. Therefore, I applied to a university in Denmark and since the end of August I study and live there.

I love nature, travelling and visiting tearoom with my friends. I love the relaxing atmosphere there.

When I don't have to get up, I like to sleep until noon. :D I'm not a morning bird - I like to stay up late (I'm better learning and thinking at night).

My greatest passion is music. When there is some good concert or music festival near my place, I don't hesitate to visit it and enjoy some live music. I play the piano and trying to "play" :D violin and guitar, but I don't like to play in front of people. Now when I live in Denmark, I'm learning to play the ukulele and sing along. I try to push my limits, so I even tried to show my "talent" to my roommates and they enjoyed it! :D

Almost nothing can upset me, I'm phlegmatic. I like to make fun of myself. I love irony, sarcasm and black humour, but I understand when someone doesn't like it. And the best for the end? I spread the positive energy and I am always smiling! A smile is the best gift that could everyone give - and it's free!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would like to explore new countries and learn about different cultures through Couchsurfing. Another reason is I would like to improve my English because of my studies in Denmark.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love a large scale of music genres, but the best for me is rock, metal and electro swing. I enjoy classical and acoustic music too. I am obsessed with the dancing electronic violinist Lindsey Stirling - I have her posters and stuff all around my room! Look at my third photo - that's me with her! My favourite bands are Nightwish, Evanescence, Three Days Grace, Bullet for My Valentine, Five Finger Death Punch, Avenged Sevenfold etc.

I love great comedies, psychological movies and horrors - especially with ghosts and the ones based on a true story. I don't like romantic movies - such a cliché! My favourite serials are American Horror Story, The 100, Stranger Things, Black Mirror, Sleepy Hollow, Lucifer, 13 Reasons Why etc.

When it comes to books, I like horrors too (for example Stephen King). Since high school, I don't read that much, but I still enjoy the relax with books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I tried to get to a university in Denmark despite my fear... And I got there! I think it is a good start to meet people from all over the world in one place - then it would be much easier to travel the world on my own! And I'll stop being afraid to speak English (I will have to if I want to finish it). :D

Other than that, I tried skydiving and it was the best adrenaline experience in my life!
