Dear hosts and guests :) My name is Zuzana Franková, I was born and still live in Karviná, small town in Czech Republic near to border with Poland. Since childhood I am very talkative person, which really likes to be surrounded by friends, family and classmates. After finishing high school I knew what I wanted to do in my life. I always dreamed of studying at university, so I chose combination of Spanish language and literature with Social science (philosophy, sociology, psychology, economy) to start my future career as teacher of those subjects on high school. My English is getting worse and worse, because I don’t have to use it daily. So I decided, before having my own family and children, to see the world. Real world, not the one from books and movies. I really want to meet new people, which could be my inspiration for the future work.

So my boyfriend and I are looking for cheap flights, to see beauty that offers Europe. We both speak English and Spanish language, talk about problems that we see in the world, like violence, terrorism, politics instability, racism.

From my hobbies I want to mention reading books and my chameleon Felix, I have red in some magazine that owners of chameleons are interesting people with colourful soul.

My life motto is: Now is the right time, not tomorrow.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My parents flat was never just our flat, it was more community centre. My friends and neighbours were meeting in our living room to take cup of coffee or just talk to me and my parents, but since we mover to smaller flat in another part of city, there is no laughter, no voice of friend every day. My friends moved to another cities, got their jobs, so they don’t have enough time to visit our new flat.

I realized that I hate this kind of silence, so I decided to meet new people around the world to avoid silence in their flats and houses.
Another reason is, that my secret dream was writing book. Book of other people memories, interests, fears, that is counted from point of view of chameleon that lives every month in different country.

Music, Movies, and Books

My profesor of literature always says, bad book doesnt exist. But I really dont like books with lot of violence, terror, fear and blod. I prefere books from czech authors that are playing games with words and describe life from very positive point of view.

I really love to discover new music everyday, so I use spotify and its lists of music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Bungee jumping from 60 meters, it was the craziest moment in my life. In this moment I realized, how small we can feel, in comparation with the power of life.

Another interesting eent I was part of was literature festival that took place in Ostrava last summer. I have met 21 actual Spanish poets and novelists, that came to Ostrava to talk about their writing and about their life story.

Teach, Learn, Share

I really hope, you could teach me your favourite words from your language and tell me some story that contains those words, to remember them well. I am really fascinated with studying languages and its difficulties, so we can help each other with some language problem.

I can teach you (or try to teach you), how to pronounce very difficult sound of letter “ř”, that is typical for my country. And if is your dream to visit Spain, I can teach you basic vocabulary and phrases to not get lost and enjoy your trip.
