About Me

In like festivals, (metal) music, my pet fish, hiking, and just nature and wildlife in general. I´m studying Biochemistry in Tübingen. I´m a rather quiet, shy and soft-spoken person, but I love to meet new and diffrent people nonetheless.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think staying with locals while travelling is a great way to really experience a country, instead of just staying in a hotel and doing sight-seeing. And you get to meet a lot of new people this way. And personally some of the best memories about my travels are those that have to do with the hospitality of locals.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: different kinds of Metal (black, doom, folk...), Post Rock, Folk, Movie Soundtracks. Usually rather atmospheric and somewhat melancholic music.
Some of my favourite bands are: Agalloch, Sólstafir, Tenhi, Wardruna, Dead can Dance, Rome, Wolves in the Throne Room, Primoridial, Amorphis, Mono,...

Movies: I like movies of pretty much all genres. However, my all-time favourites are mostly fantasy/history (Lord of the Ring, Game of Thrones, Kingdom of Heaven, Princess Mononoke...) or movies exploring the human mind (Fight Club, Black Swan,...). But there are so many more I do like.

Books: Lord of the Rings, Shantaram, Der Schwarm, American Gods, Die Schrecken des Eises und der Finsternis...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I guess that doesn´t really count as one experience, but I stayed for one year in India doing volunatary work in a village school and of cause a lot of travelling. I have a lot of great memories - or at least interesting stories - from that time (Hiking in the Himalayans, landscapes from desert to rain forest, the sometimes overwhelming hospitality of the people, the children in the school,...). Ever since then I really enjoyed meeting people from diffrent cultures and countries.

Teach, Learn, Share

We can share recipes, I like cooking and trying out new food - I´m sure I can teach you something new.

And if you are interested in fish keeping and setting up an aquarium - I can ramble on this topic for hours.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook for/with you. I am a vegetarian, however (sorry, to all the meat lovers out there ;-P ).

Austria, Czech Republic, India, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Norway
