About Me

Hi! I'm originally from Prague but now I'm studying Economics for my BSc. at University of Warwick in Great Britain. In my free time you will find me planning trips, wandering in the nature while Geocaching, cycling, swimming, playing American football or just watching TV series and reading about history or economics! Oh, and I LOVE dogs :)
I am overly positive and some of my friends honestly think that it isn't that good because I get quite naive and all I see is just the good things in life. I ignore negative emotions and just don't accept them. I love this state of mind I built during the past years though.
Sadly I can’t host much during the school year now as I'm living at a University campus. However, I can't wait to be at home for summer and host some other travelers and welcome them in Prague!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It all started in the summer of 2017 when I needed a place to stay in Switzerland while having an internship there in a huge international company. So I discovered and decided to try Couchsurfing, because I thought "what an amazing idea it is!"
That week turned out to be a week I'll never forget. The amount of new people I met? The stories I have thanks to an absolute stranger who let me stay at his couch? I got a new hobby that summer - meeting new random people and sharing our stories.
Also, I'm trying to prove to my dad that there are nice people everywhere in the world :)

I believe that the free stay is a bonus (yes, it's a really nice bonus but still just a bonus). What I like the most is meeting new random people and spending time with them.

Music, Movies, and Books

Do you know Twoflower from Terry Pratchett's Discworld? Yeah, that's me.
I read a lot, I was pretty much born and raised in a bookstore (quite literally). My favorite are Nesbo’s crime novels and The Great Century by Jan Guillou and recently I started reading a lot of economic books.
I love TV series, such as Ballers, Gotham, House of Cards, Hannibal, Vikings, Game of Thrones, Money Heist, Narcos... you name it. On the other hand, I basically don't watch movies.
When it comes to music, I wouldn’t be able to choose one style. It’s more like a weekly thing - sometimes it is rap, sometimes slow indie and the other time electronic music. I also used to play drums for 7 years!
I am sure we would find a common topic!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

On May 11th 2017 I started randomly writing a short daily journal. Just the same strict amount of lines every day, what I did, ate, where I went and what I liked (or didn't like). Third year in, I am still going strong, writing it every day and taking it everywhere with me.

Teach, Learn, Share

If I could teach you one thing, it would be "Listen to podcasts." They are awesome! I love NPR’s Planet money and The indicator.
Also, please, read books.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories from my short but rich life and hopefully a good time.
And really good jokes!
I also don’t mind listening to people a lot, so if you love talking, I'll gladly be there for you :D
