About Me

I'm 23 years old and from Germany. Originally I'm from a small town by the river Rhine in the western part of the country but for my studies (I'm a sixth semester law student) I moved literally to the other side of the country and now live in beautiful Leipzig (far far in the east).
I enjoy traveling and learning about other cultures and languages, especially because I'm a sucker for unusual words (that kind that can't really be translated). Even though I'm usually a little shy in the beginning, I consider myself to be a quite open person.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing and mainly to see my travel destinations through the eyes of a local and experience and enjoy the culture, maybe even give something back (though I would lie if I said having the opportunity to stay somewhere for free wouldn't be part of why I joined). I think this is a great opportunity to meet people from around the world and a unique way of traveling. I'm excited for some new adventures coming up!
I can't host any guests right now because I'm living in student housing

Music, Movies, and Books

My taste in music is quite eclectic (love this word!): I like classical music, HipHop, chanson and singer-songwriter stuff, pop-music, rock, indie and folk (basically everything except house and hardcore electronic music).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don't know how amazing this is (in comparison to many others my life's quite boring) but after I finished school I took a gap year to live in Oxford, England as an Au-Pair.
Oh and I work with disabled children (doing holiday camps and things like this) which has led to many amazing experiences.
In general I think it's more about the little things in life; the feeling of sun on my skin, the first butterfly you see in spring, wind in your face, the scent of a summer rain.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a pretty good cook (vegan/vegetarian), but who would complain while I'm the one with a big sharp knife in my hands, for chopping veggies of course ;)
