About Me

Here a PhD student who enjoys learning new beautiful spots around the globe. Into animals, poetry, dancing, science, and traveling, of course!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Back at 2018 I was backpacking through Europe (Yes I got a backpacker era) and I found CS to be a very exciting opportunity to know places through the eyes of local people while saving money (which was very important for a young student at that time).

I enjoyed the time I shared with my hosts and learn lots of city hacks and culture facts. I was exposed yo very different perspectivas of the world, and I felt I grew as a person, in part because of that.

Now I'm back in Europe for my PhD, I'm planning to travel using CS again.

Interests

Science is my life! I hold a B.Sc. in physics and yes, kinda math freak. But I'm also into arts, history, and some sports. I love reading (specially poetry), dancing (I do modern dance but also down for a salsa or club night). My favs list in Spotify is plenty of rock, pop, folk, country and indie from 80's to date. Movies? Yes sr! Mostly into horror/thrillers, which doesn't mean I don't like other generes (even pretentious movies with a confusing plots) For series, sitcoms and anthologies suite me better.

Any outdoor activity is Top!

I'm always open to learn how to cook a new dish, looking for friends to play board games with (also into videogames but nor very skilled lol), and meeting new people. I'm a very gifted listener! I enjoy learning new stuff and having all kind of conversations. So no matter what you are into, I'm likely to enjoy your company.

Music, Movies, and Books

Hard one! So I'm gonna cheat, but we can go deep if we meet :)

* Fav poetry: Any by Loreto Sesma, Garcia Lorca, Pizarnik, and Storni. (Shortened list, I couldn't chose one)

* Fav novel: Las intermitencias de la muerte (Death with interruptions) by José Saramago (and many of his work)

* Fav assay: El laberinto de la Soledad (The labyrinth of Solitude) by Octavio Paz and Mexico Bárbaro (Barbarous Mexico) by John K. Turner.

I also have some favs in english like 1984, Slaughterhouse 5, The old Man and the sea, Maurice, The picture of Dorian Gray, Aninal farm, Notes on native son, and Giovanni's room (amor others).

For music I'm down for everything, mostly pop/rock balads! Or something to a rythm which I can dance to.

For movies, I'll split then in two groups:

*Top horror/thriller movies: Hereditary, Midsommar, Get Out, the withch, The Others, last night in Soho, Parasites, Black swan, Sinister, I'm thinking on the ending things, and Hasta el viento tiene miedo.

*Top no horror/thrillers: Superbad, Game night, We are the Millers, Ted, Normal Guy, The secret lite of Walter Mitty, Nomaland, Lalaland, Thw devil all the time, Brokeback mountain, Como agua para chocolate, Amores perros, and El laberinto del fauno.

I missed a lot, but I tried my better sumarizing :(

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have climbed 2/3 highest monoliths, visited 4/7 world's wonders, backpacked (and survived) Europed for almost two months. My goal is to fill the bank spaces!

Teach, Learn, Share

The best I can share with you is my culture. Proudly Mexican, so you have me to dig into its food, music, and traditions! I'm a wannane language profesor, so I can teach you some basic Spanish (or help you to practice if you already know). Also, I can offer fun facts about random topics, bad jokes (a lot) or even show you some basic movements for the dance floor

Whatever you want to teach me, I'll be glad to learn!

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Guatemala, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Spain

Countries I’ve Lived In
