I have 2 young adult children and have been a Registered Nurse for 22 years. I have always loved to travel and have done a small amount so far (US, Canada, Mexico, UK, Ireland) and am hoping to do a great deal more. I am taking a long career break in 2018 with intention of visiting many countries in Europe, with 3 months already planned in Ireland. My whole professional life has been about nursing, health, nutrition and education, but...I am yearning for something new and creative. I'd like to write and I love storytelling. I started an open mic true storytelling event in my home town 5 years ago that has grown very large and is fun and widely attended.

I started a storytelling event in my hometown that grew from a tiny coffee shop event and 5 years later has sold out shows for the Grand each year and monthly shows at a ballroom hosting 100-150 people. It's an open mic event where we give the audience a theme and anyone can come up and tell a true story from their life based on the theme.

I am truly interested in seeing how others live/work/play in other parts of the world. I love food and am a good cook and usually healthy eater. But I don't turn down a chance to have decadent food and drink. :)
