Overview
About Me
I'm a curious and friendly Lebanese girl living in France. I finally stepped out of the student life and I'm soon to be an employed adult (which I sometimes find a bit scary when I really think about it). But at the moment I am in this really cool and relaxed transition where I'm trying to enjoy life to the max!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To me it is always much more interesting to travel and discover a city or a new place in the company of local people who really know the region and all its small non-touristic secrets. It is also the chance to connect with welcoming and nice people and possibly create new friendships and share beautiful moments with them. And I feel like this is the kind of place where all this happens without the commercial aspect.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love many kinds of music, when I was younger I even had a heavy metal phase (my friends still make fun of me because of that), but at the moment I am more into chilled indie music such as Alt-J, Of monsters and men, Fleet foxes, Angus and Julia Stone, Bon Iver, Belle & Sebastien.
As for books I read a lot of essays (sociological, feminist, environmental), but also novels and biographies. And one advantage of not working at the moment is all the free time I have to read so I'm trying to take advantage of that while it lasts! The last books I read were the “Handmaid's tale” which affected me a lot and got me questioning even more our actual society and system, an essay analyzing Paris’ sociology and I have just started reading the biography of George Sand a French author of the 19th century.
After I moved to France I discovered the free and unlimited streaming and that was the beginning of long hours of watching movies. I love documentaries, especially the ones about nature like Planet Earth or Il Etait Une Forêt. I also watched Humans and Home of Yann Arthus Bertrand. Recently I went to the movies to see The Venerable W, I left the movie theatre in shock, I learned a lot of things about Myanmar that I never imagined could be happening there. I also liked “Une nouvelle amie”, “Made in Dagenham”, “La source des femmes”, “I am not your negro”, “I Daniel Blake”, “Your name”, “Howl’s moving castle”…
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Travelling for two weeks with a friend in northern India, working with women refugees and having my feminist realization!
But my dream would be to start my own farm!!
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to learn about new ways of thinking and apprehending the world, that's why I ask the people I meet, but also my long time friends, a lot of questions.
I also like to talk about the environment, social and human issues, feminism... I have a lot of stories about my home country (Lebanon).
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share some good vegetarian recipes, after moving out of my parents' I discovered I actually liked cooking especially pastries. And I also know some delicious Lebanese dishes!
I also like to share my travelling experiences and hear about other people's to discover new points of view.
