I am an International Norwegian, having lived in Japan, studied in Hungary and having visited many countries due to work and vacation. I am quite lazy, and I really enjoy my free time. Its usually spent outdoors: walking, fishing, canoeing, skiing etc. I also enjoy to watch tv or just relax on the balcony. I can also go out to clubs and restaurants, but its not something I do very often. I live in Halden, which is on the border With Sweden. I can actually see Sweden from my apartment. Halden is surrounded by hundreds of lakes, and its also located along a fjord. The best salt water beaches are found in Sweden, 15-30 min by car from here. I have two extra bedrooms, one of which is a guest room. The third bedroom can be made into a guestroom in case of "emergency". I can accept a maximum of two people. My flat is 1.5 km from the biggest shopping center in town, so a 20 min walk will pretty much get you into town. The view from my flat is among the best in town and it was renovated in 2013. Its located in a typical working class neighborhood and there is nothing particularly fancy about it...:-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For various reasons (economical and practical), I did not book a proper vacation this year. Since I probably will spend a few weeks in Halden during the summer, I thought I might be a tourist in my own town/region by getting some pleasant company. If its a nice experence, I might do it next summer as well.
