I'm a young french student, currently studying physics (optics and quantum mechanics). I'm also a huge music lover and a drummer. And I love hiking and try to go for a trek when I can (ideally once a year).
I'm kind of curious and love to discover new things to wonder at. And I love to exchange with people about all the wonderful things we're surrounded by.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm interested by finding new ways to travel. And I look for a way to discover countries a bit more from the inside.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music : mostly jazz, rock, everything around it and a little bit of everything else (I'm very open and highly motivated to discover new things). To quote a few artists : Frank Zappa, Jojo Mayer/Nerve, Led Zeppelin, Snarky Puppy, Tonbruket, Them Crooked Vultures, Can.

Books : a bit of fantasy and science fiction, and a few social sciences. The Black Company, Terry Pratchett, Jared Diamond, Hyperion. Lots of comics and manga too ; Âama, xkcd, Vinland Saga...

Video games : Portal 2, Undertale, Chrono Trigger, Heroes of Might and Magic. A bit of turn-based strategy, RPGs, and every game with a good sense of narration. I don't have much time to play video games but I love it, and definitely consider it as a real art form.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm working with atom clouds whose temperature is around 100 nanokelvins, to which I give a ring shape. In daily life it looks like routine for me, but with hindsight, it is really amazing.
