About Me
Hey there!
Some random facts about myself:
- every pet I meet is my baby and I need to love it
- slept for months with lost teeth under the pillow waiting for the Tooth Fairy (still waiting)
- favorite color: green (for the hope)
- flexible, silly humor
- like to live dangerously
- overly trusting and v.v. trustworthy according to the law of attraction
- always accompanied by a guardian angel that always seems to get me out of almost ridiculously dangerous and risky situations (that I somehow tend to get into)
Apart from personal details being only a minor and negligible part of our existence and true essence:
Julia, 27 yrs old, former student of linguistics & rhetoric in Germany, currently teaching the Swiss how to speak German. I am German and have according character traits (this introduction was restructured twice), love to do sports, to make music, travel and to connect with nature.
Ich spreche fließend Deutsch, Englisch und Französisch, parlo un po’ italiano و اتكلم ايضا قليلا العربية .
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'd love to exchange ideas, jokes, life-secrets, and experiences with all kinds of people from different cultures while travelling. There's no better way to explore a new city than by having a local friend to relate to and to spend quality time with. Couchsurfing can be a mutually valuable and enriching experience and I'm looking forward to making friends all over the globe. :-)

Music, Movies, and Books
I love all kinds of music (except empty pop music), depending on my mood. Genres that will always light up my spirit are Reggae, Trap, Techno, 90s music, Singer/Songwriter, all forms of Rock, and virtuous tracks by guitar masters like John Butler or Estas Tonne.
I also write my own songs that I play on the guitar and sing. It would be amazing to share my music with you and hear what you think about it, if there's time.. :-)
Movies that really had an impact on my life are The Matrix trilogy, Transcendence and Fight Club (I prefer SciFi/Psycho/Thriller movies with meaning) . Naturally there are many more I could and probably will watch many more times in future and can definitely recommend to you.
With regards to books, I like to read spiritual books (esp. Eckhart Tolle), amusing and thought-provoking novels and poetry (Rilke, Gibran, Rumi, Hesse, Bukowski,...)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
-Swimming with dolphins in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean
-Watching the sunset in the Egyptian desert-landscape while galloping over dunes
-Arguing with Moroccan Policemen in a broken french and getting away with it
-Sharing a cigarette with a nice passer-by in the Bronx
-Getting lost barefoot in the forest (I tend to do that) wandering around for hours till a passing motorcyclist finally drove me back to the campsite
-Jamming with random people on the riverside
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm always eager to share with others what I love and what gets me excited (e.g. music, life-experiences, magic moments) and to explore other ways of life and thinking. Everyone is unique and I can't wait to explore the way you live, love and laugh!
