About Me

**UPDATE January 2020**

I have just decided to settle back in Paris and will focus on language learning. I will see this CouchSurfing year as a learning and sharing opportunity. I am happy to teach you French or Spanish in exchange for your native tongue.

[I won't be mad if you don't read this description, but mentioning any of it in your request could boost my interest in conversation with you.]

Hey there! I'm a French-Mexican polyglot, translator, amateur writer, language teacher, and lucid dreamer. I recently launched a multilingual website about languages: www.langscape.me

No he encontrado mejor experiencia que conocer personas intrigantes.

Je me suis récemment installé à Paris.

[EN] Talking to the locals and making new friends has always been my favorite part of travelling. Regardless of age, gender, profession, and nationality, I'd be glad to host you. I advocate for free circulation of ideas and free usage of languages. To be honest, up until recently I didn't genuinely enjoy talking or writing in English, until I realized how rich and beautiful a language it is. And it can do wonders to unite people from different backgrounds.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Until recently, I did not have a place to offer, so I would only couchsurf actively. I feel that the time has come to give back to the community by having people over in my flat in Paris, near Place Monge in the beautiful 5ème arrondissement.

I have come to understand that the most challenging borders are the social ones. Staying at a local's house is one way to overcome that frontier. I genuinely enjoy all kinds of conversation. My endeavors are intellect- and art-oriented.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

• I have become completely lucid in a dream, which turned me into a floating point of consciousness. I cannot describe how odd it felt.

• Bungie and parachute jumping were two highlights of my teen years. I had always wondered what free fall would feel like, as it often appeared in my dreams. It is one of those things you have to experience yourself to really grasp, which I find mysterious yet beautiful.

• I once had a group of two Italian girls think I did not speak their language. Plus, they were using a somewhat coded version of Italian and thought me and my friend did not understand them at all. I managed, by observing and applying several means of decoding, to understand everything they were saying, which made me feel like a secret agent. I was 15. And I felt really good about it.

• Last year I wrote a 70-pages paper in 10 days. I felt bad about being such a procrastinator, but empowered after having made it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a native Spanish and French speaker and have years of experience teaching either language, both online and face-to-face. I would be very happy to give advice on how to best learn foreign languages.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Paris is a place where space is scarce and beauty abundant. I have the luck to rent a spacious room and would like to share it with travelers from all over the world. I studied here for two years, and can recall countless times where I felt lucky to be in this unique city. Sharing those moments with passionate people would further increase their effect.
