I love, like most people on couchsurfing, travelling and meeting new people from all over the world. Getting to know and experiencing different cultures can be so exciting and I don't think I'll ever grow tired of it.
Other than that I am rather spontaneous and enjoy being close to water - not even not necessarily the ocean, a nice river like the Elbe in Hamburg has the same effect on me.
A perfect morning starts with a big cup of coffee and after that I am up to basically anything.
Although I don't have a couch to offer in my small one room flat, I am always happy to just meet up.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

Together with my friend Neele, I stayed with 4 different hosts in Scotland. The whole concept is truly amazing. It's based purely on trust. We met great people through Couchsurfing and I cannot wait to couchsurf again. To me the most fun part about travelling is meeting new people and getting to know different cultures. Couchsurfing offers a great chance to meet locals, make new friends and also seeing places you would probably not even know of if you stayed in a hotel.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Music wise I listen to nearly every genre. I have no favourite kind of music, the list goes from Musical and Disney Songs all the way to metal.
Books...well I love reading so there are many books. The Outlander Series by Diana Gabaldon is one of my favourite series and I enjoy reading the stories of Sherlock Holmes. An all time favourite will also always be Harry Potter. And then there is "Three Cups of tea" which I totally recommend! But also when it comes to books, my taste is awfully diverse. Same goes for movies. There is just so many good movies out there.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Although I enjoy being close to water, I do not really enjoy swimming in the ocean. Not seeing the ground or what is underneath me makes me feel rather uncomfortable. Still, while I was in Australia, I went swimming with the Whalesharks off west coast close to Exmouth. It included jumping into the ocean miles away from the coast after having heard a long introduction about how sharks, such as tiger sharks might be out there in the water as well. This was an amazing and once in a livetime experience for me.
