About Me

My name is Emily. I'm a Midwest girl who survives by adventure, travel, and connecting with others. I have my masters of social work and have worked in several diverse areas but am currently taking a break from the field. A year ago I quit my job, sold most of my things, packed up my car and took off on a road trip and adventure across the US (and possibly beyond), finally landing in Denver CO. It has been amazing, intense, inspiring, challenging, and I don't want to stop. Plus...I've learned about the kindness of strangers and how we are all ONE. I love to travel and stay local to fully experience the places and people where I visit.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I travel I don't want the tourist experience, I want to meet locals & other travelers in order to create a memorable authentic and life changing experience. I see CS as a sacred community that has changed my life in many ways and has brought me so many diverse and special friendships, connections, and unforgettable memories from across the world. So...I want to keep the magic alive.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Quit my job, sold my things, packed my car and left the familiar to pursue a journey of possibilites, discovery, travel, new experiences, and a new start outside of Missouri where I lived my whole life.

Second place learning to surf.

Teach, Learn, Share

I always enjoy trading travel stories and interesting discussions on psychology, philosophy, or astrology over a good meal or drink if possible. If time allows Id love to share a travel experince of local music, dance, kareoke, yoga, outdoor sports, or unique sights of the area. Im really up for just about anything. I can also make a mean spaghetti, teach you some latin dance, or have some fun with photography as well.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm always up for experiencing local places, sitting down for good conversation, or having fun with photography.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bahamas, Belize, Canada, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, Mexico, Puerto Rico
