About Me

I enjoy cooking, gathering with lovely people, hearing stories and writing them.

I'm interested in the old stuff - such as classical art, old buildings, and cities, and I would say that photography will never compete with some good ol' paint on canvas. I am an amateur musician and my playlist, which ranges from 1960s jazz to alternative rock, indie, and classical composers, follows me all day long.

Finally, I love what I do - which is studying my own and other cultures and different ways of being a human (hint: social anthropology). What I learn, motivates me to travel, explore, and to pursue more knowledge.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I didn't have a chance to travel with CS before, but I'm excited to try. Socializing + traveling = seems like a perfect equation.

I hope to share as many different conversations as possible - ideally, where I would do 40 % talking and 60 % of listening.

It took me a while before I could really appreciate the distinctive style of the places where I lived (Vilnius, Lithuania and Manchester, UK). I'd like to help others to find that style a bit quicker.

Music, Movies, and Books

I would need to start with Terry Pratchett, Patti Smith, Antanas Škėma, Michail Bulghakov, T.S. Elliot

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Volunteering was one of the most meaningful experiences that I've had over the last several years. It connected me with people with incredible personalities, dreams and future ambitions. I think this a thing that I'll be returning to periodically.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm doing my best to be a thankful and humble guest and never abuse anyone's trust. I think sharing a meal and stories is the best way to show my gratitude and make some lasting memories with people I meet on the road.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Estonia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Turkey
