We are a small family of 3 persons. Maike is the mother, 51 years old and interior designer. Olli is the father, 47 years old and interior designer too .Lilian is our daughter and 15 years old. And we have two beautiful cats (mother and daughter) called Picard and Pepino.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are on Couchsurfing because we love to travel and think it is a great way to learn more about other cultures.

Interests

The interests we share as a family are traveling, cooking and being creative (craftwork).

Maike:
I love being outside and riding my bicycle. As well as visiting art museum and learning more about native culture.

Olli:
Listening and making music and watching documentaries are some things I like to do in my freetime. But I am open for everything.

Lilian:
My other interests are photography, planing and organizing things and talking about politics, philosophy and society. I enjoy hanging out at the park and listening to good music. I'm also really interested in good food especially healthy and vegan meals (I'm vegetarian).

Music, Movies, and Books

Maike:
My favorite music is arcoustic music in general.

If I had to choose one movie, it would probably be "Wie im Himmel" , " Willkommen bei den Sch'tis" , " Himmel über Berlin" or "Soul kitchen"

"Chuzpe", "Drachenläufer" and "Das Herz des kleinen Jägers" are the books I really enjoyed reading.

Olli:
"Reggae" , "Underground" and "Lounge" are my favorite types of music.

The are so many good movies out there, so it is impossible for me to choose.

At the moment I am reading " Vier Freunde, ein Taxi und keinen Plan... aber einmal um die Welt", which I really enjoy reading.

Lilian:
I am really into alternative music, chill out songs and Reggae.

I'm more of a "Serienjunkie". So some of my favorite Tv shows are "orange is the new black", "criminal minds", "navi CIS LA", "The big bang theory" and many more.

My favorite books at the moment are:
- "der Rosie Effekt ( the Rosie Effect)"
- "den Mund voll ungesagter Dinge"

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Maike:
I love to remember my adventures of my traveling through Europe by hitchhiking.

Olli:
The seven moths I have lived on a sailing ship in Turkey were a great experience.

Lilian:
I think the most amazing Thing I've ever done was when I was 4 yeas old and drove with my father through the desert on a quad. Or when we took a trip on a camel through the same desert and a small lake.
