Overview
About Me
Whilst living in London, Stacey worked as a project co-ordinator for the British Museum and Chris was a producer at the BBC. In early 2017 we took the plunge, quit our jobs, and nowadays we can be found travelling the world!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We learnt about couchsurfing through our friends Sarah and Chris, who have hosted people from all over the world back at their apartment in London. They are also travelling this year and we've joined forces to explore many countries as a group. Having heard about all the friends they've made and the amazing experiences they've had through couchsurfing, we thought we should give it a try!
We love meeting people and we're very excited about visiting new places in this unique and interesting way.

Music, Movies, and Books
We are both big music fans and really enjoy going to live music events. Chris interned at a radio station whilst at university, where he attended the Isle of Whight festival and interviewed bands like Feeder and James. He also plays the guitar and enjoys writing a song every now and then https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vHWlTtkZrrA.
Stacey has been to Glastonbury festival twice, where she really enjoyed seeing Florence and the Machine, Suede, Years & Years and Alt J. In September, Stacey and Chris travelled to Las Vegas to attend the Life is Beautiful festival.
Stacey is a fan of dystopian future novels and loves to read anything by Margaret Atwood. Chris enjoys reading travel books and the novels of Linwood Barclay, and is a big Formula 1 fan (amongst other sports).
We both enjoy watching movies at home and going to the cinema on rainy afternoons in London. Chris' favourite film is Bridesmaids (he loves a chick flick), but expect him to deny that in strong terms.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Chris once went all the way to Canada in search of a reasonably priced sandwhich, he even wrote a book about it! https://www.amazon.co.uk/Taste-Canada-Search-Reasonably-Sandwich-ebook/dp/B007SYZ72M/ref=asap_bc?ie=UTF8
Stacey recently overcame her fear of exercise to complete a two day hike in the mountains of Nepal and she climbed Mount Fuji in Japan.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We both love to travel and do so at every opportunity. We would love to share tips and stories with our hosts about the different countries we've visited.
We've both lived in or near London for most of our lives, so we can definately share some advice if you plan to visit one day!
