Hello, my name is Jonas Hofmann and I really dislike describing myself. Who likes that? Anyways, I will try.

People say I have a sense of humour. German humour, but still. Apart from that I would describe myself as an outgoing, polite and optimistic person. I am very sociable, it always amazes me how I can create sounds pushing air against my vocal cords, moving my tongue, forming weird shapes with my mouth, and all of a sudden my thoughts are in your head. Magic.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Since I was young, my parents would take me to places all over Europe, to breathtaking countrysides, cities bursting with culture, ancient ruins next to skyscrapers... But what about the locals? What about the people who are not just merely visiting a place, but spending their lives there with friends, family, all their memories tied to this place? If you don't see that side, you are only half-visiting a place. I want to see the other 50%, and for you I would like to be them.
