Hello, my name is Šimon and I am sure that you and I are gonna be friends. Why? It is simple. Actually you are a great person, because you are here on Coachsurfing, so you have to be really cool, right? And hopefully I am cool too. I come from the Czech Republic (not Czechoslovakia anymore) and I really love travelling and meeting new people. I study political science and play football (weird combination, right?). I also really like reading, philosophy, beer (every Czech loves beer), long conversations, hiking, exploring new cities, meeting new people, doing crazy things, and sports generally. I try to be some kind of photographer (still in progress!). I also love cooking and be sure I am the best cook you have ever met. I am full of energy all the time. I have registered my profile here at 2017, but I have forgotten about this (that is why I have no references), but now I am gonna restart, so hopefully it will work. I am really looking forward to meeting you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am that typical millenial who does not want to own a lot of things and believes in sharing, because it is so much more gentle and easier. Also I do not like that kind of travelling when you sleep in expensive hotels, making just perfect instagram pictures and so on (you know what i mean, right?). But most of my friends do not share this with me and Coachsurfing is a perfect platform to find friends with similar attitude. Is it you? I hope so.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - even if I do not have a favourite music genre I like some of them more than others. I like tropical house (Kygo), rock (Portugal the Man, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Beatles, Imagine Dragons) and rap (Lil Peep, Post Malone). But also I have no problem with classical music, indie rock, jazz or funk and soul.
Movies and series - I have a few favourite movies: Inception, Shutter Island, Forrest Gump, Seven. I am also a big fan of LOTR and Harry Potter. Game of Thrones is the best serie in the whole universe, right? Narcos, Vikings and House of Cards are great too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In January 2018 I've worked in the Saint Nicholas Orphanage in Ivano Frankivsk as a volunteer for almost a month and it was great. It changed me a lot.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can help you with cleaning, cook a brilliant dinner (hopefully) or talk for hours about everything you want. We can go for a drink or explore your town at night and take some great pictures (have I told you that I am total night person?). But definitely we are not gonna be bored.
